Gary is a native of Jacksonville and graduate of Jacksonville Senior High School, where he served as student body president. Gary graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. There, his studies were highlighted by an award from the Wall Street Journal for the highest academic average in the School of Business.
Upon graduation, Gary worked five years for a national CPA firm in Atlanta before returning to Jacksonville in 1979. He has been in public practice here for the past 35 years, and is the founder of C. Gary Lanvermeier, PA.
Gary has extensive experience in non-profit audits, and individual and business tax compliance. He is a past member of the Onslow Memorial Hospital Authority and served eight years on the Onslow Bounty Board of Education. He is a member of the AICPA and NCACPA. He and his wife Phyllis have three daughters and four grandchildren
Born and raised in Swansboro, NC, Joe graduated from Mount Olive College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. His further studies include graduate courses in Accounting to meet or exceed standards set by the North Carolina Board of CPA Examiners.
Joe has been a licensed CPA since 2010 (NC #35423). Joe started his career in public accounting in 2007 for a local firm in Jacksonville. After five years, he was hired by national CPA firm McGladrey, LLP, where he worked as a supervisor. In 2013, Joe returned to Jacksonville to join Lanvermeier & Jarman, P.A., where he is now a shareholder. His focus is individual and business tax compliance, with further work on various types of audit engagements.
He is a member of the AICPA and NCACPA, and active in the QuickBooks Pro Advisor program. Joe and his wife Megan have two young children. In 2014 Joe became a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Kerrie was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts but has made Jacksonville her home for the past 10 years. Kerrie graduated from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and from Western Governors University with a Master's in Accounting.
Kerrie worked as a Controller for an automotive dealership for 3 years in Jacksonville where she sharpened her financial accounting skillset. She then became a CPA and began working with Lanvermeier and Jarman, P.A. to practice public accounting.
Kerrie is a member of of the AICPA and NCACPA. She is certified in QuickBooks and is a part of the QuickBooks Pro Advisor Program. She is also a licensed Notary Public.
Kerrie is an active member of the Jacksonville community and volunteers with the Girl Scouts twice a month.
